Scheduling PNS for your Surgery

PNS offers intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring services to hospitals on a contracted basis (including to Medicare patients) and to area surgeons on an as-requested basis.  PNS personnel are credentialed at many medical centers in California.  If you are a surgeon, or a surgeon's office surgery scheduler, and you would like to schedule the services of PNS, please contact the office at 415-221-1591.

Hospitals (including HMO hospitals) interested in establishing a contract with PNS for their patient population should contact Dr. Charlotte Moore via phone or email.

PNS personnel includes licensed practitioners who bill patient insurance carriers directly for the services they perform, we also contract directly with hospitals to provide services to the O.R.

THE STAFF

The Founding Senior Staff at PNS includes:

Charlotte M. Moore, Ph.D., D.ABNM
Dr. Moore received her Ph.D. in 1999 from the University of California San Francisco. She completed a 2-year post-doctoral research fellowship at the Epstein Lab at UCSF.  Dr. Moore holds professional certification from the American Board of Neurophysiological Monitoring and has been practicing as a surgical neurophysiologist since 1990.

Mirza Alam, M.D., D.ABNM
Dr. Alam received his M.D. in 1989 at Sindh University, Liaqat Medical School, Pakistan before coming to the U.S. in 1989.  Dr. Alam has held clinical positions at Newington Childrens Hospital at the University of Connecticut and at the University of California San Francisco.  Dr. Alam received his neuromonitoring training at Harvard Medical School, Department of Anesthesia at Brigham and Womens Hospital. In 2000, he received his D.ABNM certification. From 2000 — 2003 Dr. Alam was a Staff Neurophysiologist, Department of Neurological Surgery at UCSF.
